    I personally would not say to use a "Bondo" (except for small imperfections and pinholes) although i have used it,...if the grinder gouges are way too deep, glass them back in and board file them evenly with the deck/surface, then gel the deck (thick) use the gel as a filler and once you have it flat (by way of blocking), apply your finish gel!
    P.S. if you opt. for filler, "BONDO" let it cure over night so that you dont get shrink after you thought it was flat!
