Thread: Sneak Peak Tpi Quad Rotor Scoops!

    Hot Boat Members,
I have fabricated a new line of scoops for "Big Motors". They are wide enough to fit over the top of a quad rotor motor in most applications. The inside dimensions are 20 5/8"w x 31 1/4L x only 8 1/8"H. There are a bunch of people out there with really nice motors/boats that are looking for a nice wide/low profile scoop to deliver the air and look cool and up to date. I currently have several in stock. I have advertising scheduled for Mid June, but this is just a little info and an opportunity for someone to grab one or two beforehand. They come in all white gel and "top half" carbon fiber w/black gel lower. Due to the configuration, full carbon fiber is not a possibility, without a BUNCH of time involved. Each scoop will require less than one hour of prep from a body/paint guy prior to laying on the candy color! :rollside: I have a lot of East Coast guys that are fired up about the top half carbon fiber, because they can spray the colors of their boats up the sides and have a carbon fiber top. You are only limited by your imagination. I also have a custom air brush/painter that will do just about anything. He's good! These scoops are not cheap, I know, but they cost quite a bit when it's all said and done, and they look very, very nice on the boat!
    White gel TPI Scoop $695
    Carbon Fiber/Top $995
Thanks guys for looking and for all of the assistance in this project.

Out of curiousity, how do they mount?

There is a 7/8" lip all the way around the inside that can be through bolted to the hatch. One of my customers cut that lip out and gained even more width. He glassed his to his hatch and fabricated a nice pad to go around it.

Gary, The scoops would look way better if they were showcased on a nice tile floor, not concrete ...

Gary, you listed the inside dimensions, but what are the overall dimensions?

    Phebus,
The outside dimensions are 25"w x 39"L overall. It really has a cool look and provides plenty of air to the motor. There is a nice space in the lower rear for (6) 2" ventlialtion holes or a large rectangle(some guys worry about there hatch blowing off). This whole thing came about because when I was looking for something to cover my quad, there was nothing available(Low/wide). There are large scoop molds around, but it sure seemed tough to get someone to lay one up($$$). I am working with some parties about distribution, including Whipple, and we are very excited about getting these things out there. Hopefully there will be a few of these babies around Havasu this Summer.
