unbelievable piles of dust. I keep stopping to sweep. The worst part about this is cleaning out the crappy fiberglass job that the last owner did when he replaced the stringers. Big thick sections of resin takes forever to grind out. Had these been original stringers I'd been done long ago. To top it off, my compressor threw 2 rods for the second time this year. No more air tools for this project.
I was wondering what you were up to! I use a big shop vac for the crap from grinding first. After that, there isn't much left loose. I was blowing it out, at first, but that made too big a mess. I had to remove some "prior repairs" in mine, too. Whoever did it was clueless. I guess I better post up some progress pics of mine, lol.
Edit: yeah- I would be lost without my air compressor!
I coulda done 3 of these by now had there been no freakin lousy replacements. Also makes me wonder just how good the stringers were that I took out and used for patterns. Maybe if it stopps rainin I can pull it out today and see how they fit.
