Well after having some ignition problems twice now, I have come to believe it is the distributor. Its an MSD Pro Billet with magnetic trigger. Well I pull the cap and the "paddle wheel" looking thing that triggers everything is rusted pretty badly. Obvioulsy water has been getting in the distributor and you can definately tell at the lake. I doesn;t like to idle or start and backfires through carb, etc. I cleaned the rust out and put it all back together and she fired right up, This is not the marine model distributor, has anybody tried using a gasket around the base of the distributor cap to keep moisture out?

I believe you can buy a marine cap that comes with an O ring for that distributor from MSD.
