Thread: Crimps not staying tight

I'm currently in the middle of my install of a Phoenix Gold Octane-R R5.0:4 to power my four Eclipse SE8495's. Everything is hooked up and tucked away but I am having one problem hooking the amp connectors up as I cannont get the crimps done securely. I do not know what it can be as crimping is simple and I know I am doing the process right, place the wire through the ring and crimp shut using all the might I got. Could it possibly be the crimper that I am using? Should I try picking a new one up? Thanks for the help.

If the gauge of the wire matches what gauge the ring clamps are designed for, you should get a tight crimp. If not, I would get a new crimper.
