The 24 is not a true tunnel, it is a modified tunnel. From what I have heard, the 24 performs reasonably well under moderate power. I looked at them at Hidden Harbor Marine in Havasu when it was still in business. I remember the 24 with a 7.4LX was getting around 65 mph with the 502EFI at around 74 mph.
Cheetahs do OK. They're not Daytonas but very good for the money. A friends does 91 with a 572 and mine is still teething but should run very stong once I get a prop that doesn't lift the stern. The hull has put up with 1124 hp so far. Hoping for a high 120s ride.
