I think a brand new one sells for around $1,800 and I was thinking that a used one in excellent conditions would be worth about half that. What do you think?

Eliminatya, I don't think it will fit a 8-71 buy you could call Ryan at PFM Products to find out for sure. Their number is 909-637-2353.
565Edge, The new motor is working like a charm with zero problems even though I already have over 40 hours on it since it's installation. I'm really impressed with Larry's motors. Since I installed this motor, I have been to Trinity, Shasta, Oroville, Don Pedro, New Malones, and McClure, but not to Naciemento or San Antonio. I'm ready though.
