Thread: Supercharged to N/A EFI vs. CARB?

I currently have a 516 bb with a vortech sc custom efi setup superchiller etc. I'm looking to go the N/A route with a whole new motor. I'm getting a 572 700 + hp on 91 octane. My question is the engine bulider I'm talking to prefers carbs over efi due to it taking an extra week for him to tune efi systems correctly. Should I just sell my entire setup and go with a carb. Just need some opinions.

Keep the efi and get a new tuner.

Thats what I was thinking. If the guy doesn't want to take the time to tune the motor right, what else does he want to rush?

It's not that at all the motor will be done in a couple of weeks, he said he is going to break the motor in on an engine dyno with a demon shop carb. Then he said we could do either the carb or the efi. He is leaning torwards the carb but I'm in between.
    Thanks for the input.

I'm thinking of going this route because it would be easier to get rid of my other motor, after I have it gone through as a complete package as opposed to just partial.
