I believe it is illegal to buy av gas without a pilots license in the Great State of California. But I could be wrong.

I buy it at airports all the time. Just bring your gas cans and don't use it in a street driven vehicle. I've had a couple of dicks refuse to sell it, but most of the time there is no problem..........And have purchased it at the Paso airport, both from the pump, (10PM) and from the truck........MP
Just take gas cans to the local airport. Some of the Union 76 stations sell 100 octane unleaded gas at the pump.
