WTB: Boat Trailer needed

Friend just bought a 23' Donzi Deckboat. We're on the road towing it back from Oklahoma to California. The trailer is a POS and it needs a new one. Boat is similar to a Chaparal Sunesta Deckboat but with a single step bottom.
Trailer needs to have brakes.

We'll give them a try.
Went to Bear Trailers in Chatsworth and they wanted $7500 for a basic trailer with brakes. Seemed kinda steep to me.
May check with extreme and see what price range they are in. Would really like to find a used one, have it modified for the boat and painted.
