Ignition.
New to Jets and forum. I have a '76 Taylor SS w/ 460BBF/ Berk. 12JF. The boat ran poorly when I got it. So I changed the cam to Comp 268H, Performer RPM intake, Demon 850 DP, Holley Electric pump, And Proform HEI for Ford. It ran perfect for two consecutive weekends, but now it runs bad. This past weekend it would not idle, so I turned the idle screws a half turn each (not the mixture screws) to get it to idle. Once on the water it was somewhat down on power and stumbling at WOT. It ran hotter than usual 200 at idle, up from normal 170-180. There are no vacuum leaks, it is getting fuel. It left the water running like a champ, and went back in like a turd. Any ideas would help.
Ignition.
What leads you to that conclusion?
Same issue's. Went to check timing and #1 was intermentant. Got a new Accel Billit and those problems went away. Just my .02
Check for water contamination in the fuel, and also check for water/mosture in the distributor cap.
