Thread: 2000 alpha drive

    Do the newer (2000) Alpha drives still have the impeller in the drive or did they go to the pump?

    still in the drive all Alphas have the water pump in the drive

    Any idea how to tell if it is a gen 1 or gen 2 alpha drive?

    Gen II has the top and bottom through bolted the Gen I drive is studs. also the Gen II has the trim pins held on with E clips, the Gen I has nuts on the end of the pins
