There's some good information Panthers here if you do a search but in my opinion, probably more usable info over at the Laidback Boaters site where there is a Panther Forum
    Try this site. http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/mb/cas
There's also a old LB site with tons of Panther info but we just need to figure out how to get it transferred over.
Good luck and post what type of boat, size, motor and what you want it to do and I'm sure somebody can help you out.....John

Perfect SS, that's the old site and has a ton of good info that we need to move over to the new one. Thanks for linking him there as well.

I have a 1976 19' Hawaiian jet boat with a very well built 425HP AMC 360 and a panther pump. the motor has not been put back in the boat because I was wanting to know if there were any mods I could make to the pump?

There just aren't a lot of "hop-up" tuning parts for panthers, and I have heard the shafts aren't able to tolerate much over 400 HP or thay start twisting. They ARE a very small shaft.

There's not much to do in regards to the pump with the engine out that you can't do with it in. The only benefit with the engine out is the ease of replacing the forward/reverse and the steering cables. If they need attention, now is the time to do it.
