I went down their labor day weekend and it was hot as hell. but i would rather the heat then the 20 below that we have had. plus i can make twice as much down their as hear. you dont have a 350 dollar heat bill in the winter each month.
Not trying to discourage you here but I don't think you are gonna make any more money or spend any less in Bullhead. Yes it is right by the river which makes it nice but like Squirten said the electric bill to run the a/c alone in the summer will cost a lot. Just trying to give you a little input.

I can't blame you for wanting to leave Logan,,,, Cold and about as much social life there as an Amish village on a Sunday night...

What does he (djunkie) know ??? He thinks BFGs suck !!!
In the summer $350 is cheep for air. My average was more like $380, I saw Julys' bill and said Bullshit this cities electric company is nuts !!!
Don't get me wrong it is nice here but it sucks when 36 becomes ice cold.
This is one of those right to work states and it sucks. Now being here you are close to everything so that makes it bearable.

I was talking to a guy that worked for one of the casinos in Laughlin / Bullhead City years ago. He said that before the casinos were owned by big corporations the old owners would pay their employees air conditioning bills. Don't know how much truth there was in that conversation but I thought that was kind of cool. I am sure we will never see that again.

Your right. I know nothing. Don't listen to me. After all, I don't even own a jet boat anymore.

It is my job as a resident to scare people off from moving here.
I love it here. I do wish there were more trees though.

Not sure of exact kilowatt price here in the desert. All I know is my Electric bill has been $114 a month for the last two years.
That's on the "Equalizer" plan where they average your use over the year, and you pay the same amount each month. My August bill (for July, the hottest month) would have been $285.00, April bill (for March, the mildest month) was around $75.00.
I'm also on a "Time Advantage" plan, where energy used "off-peak" between 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM every day, and all day weekends and Holidays, is cheaper than "on peak". I'm running about 70% "Off-Peak" and 30% "On-peak"
1,700sf all-electric home, 3 bdrm/fam room/2 bath. 4 ton heat pump. In Parker, but nearly identical weather to BHC.
Although this is with APS (Arizona Public Service). I think Bullhead City is with Citizen Utilities.
Probably more important, is that it's just the wife and me. No kids to leave lights on, take hour long showers, or leave the doors wide open in the middle of summer.

Thats not bad at all to put this in perspective in central cali we see temps between 100 and 105 with high humidity. Our bill for 1600 sq ft 3bd 2 bath is slightly over 300 a month in the summer. In the winter we drop in the very low 30's at night and our bill is just under 300 a month.
We looked into moving to bullhead 2 years ago, but decided to ride out the housing market as our house was building an insane amount of equity it appears to be leveling off now so we might consider it agian. The heat over there really isn't that bad the numbers are scary but it feels about the same as when we hit low 90's in fresno.
