Im looking for (4) 6"x9"s for da boat. Any recomendations, I like crisp accurate highs. Oh yea and they must be loud of course.

I have the Infinity's in my Commander. They are great speakers.
I have Boston Acoustic's SL95's in my E-ticket. They sound very crisp and loud.

I agree these speakers sound great, but I kept blowing tweeters at high volumes. They were getting 75 watts a piece from a Fosgate amp.
I am now using Memphis Audio marine and am very impressed with their power handling and highs. The tweeters can be pointed in the direction you choose also.

I have 6 of the Infinity 6x9's. They sound good. You can also mount them with the tweeter pointed up. Helps out if the speaker is mounted down low.
Good, clean power is a +++.

    Cheap Thrills
Being a Pro Sound nut I like to stay with what the professional sound guys use.
What names do you see on stage ? JBL, Peavey, Eminence, Cerwin Vega,Yamaha and dont laugh , Jensen. just to name a few.
Unfortunately Peavey doesn't make anything for automotive/marine arena. neither does Eminence
and I don't think Jensen's automotive line is anywhere the same quality as their stage sound line.
However not a bad bang for the buck.
Cerwin Vega was once dubbed the manufacturer of the worlds loudest loudspeakers while they are loud, I don't think they're as musically accurate as some of the others.
What brands do you see in professional mixing studios? JBL, Polk , Boston Acoustics , Infinity. Just to name a few there, are all excellent choices for accurate music reproduction.
So with that said my choices would be in this order.
    1 ~ JBL
    2 ~ Cerwin
    3 ~ Yamaha
    4~ Polk
    5 ~ B.A.
    6 ~ Infinity
7~Jensen ok quit laughing. I could have said SparkOmatic or Krako
There are alot of good loudspeakers out there let your wallet be your guide.
    Rock On !
