Thread: 2 Bravo or not 2 Bravo?

I'm a little confused what to do next. I have a 270 hallett with over 600 HP and I know the outdrive is going to go soon. I purchased the boat this summer with 500 hours on the motor (Outdrive stock). Should I overhaul/upgrade the outdrive or buy a stronger one complete?
I realize the stock Bravo does not handle that much HP very well unless your "always and I mean always" easy out of the hole.
Any suggestions? Bravo XR, IMCO shop and where should I take it for the upgrades if applicable. :rollside:

500 hrs on a 600HP motor?.. sounds like your doing pretty well with it.. do you plan on adding more power?
XR cant hurt.. I run 1200hp on an XR

Lots have spoke very highly of Worx in Havasu. From what I understand, it is a drop off your old drive and swing back by for your new one type of deal. Pretty stout and local if there are any problems.

The past owner sent this outdrive (2000) to the Bravo shop in Florida for larger bearings. So he says! He drove the boat with preventative maintenance in mind, since it lasted this long. I just know its going to go out while I'm 60 miles up Lake Powell.
As far as the HP I'm very happy with the whipple suppercharger and anything faster my wife will start complaining.

Buy an IMCO from IMCO Nevada thru All Seasons in Boulder City and have them install and align it. Problem solved...

He mentioned the Max Machine Worx.. I have heard amazing things about customer service and the product. I would compare prices and it the difference is not to much go with the worx kit
I have heard some interesting stories with the imco customer service..
I vote for the worx product.. If its a big heavy boat.. you'll need it
