in the drive do you start feeling like a kid waking up on Christmas Morning?
We drive from the 805 so 5 hours is a long while but worth it.....the Excited Kid feeling starts about Vidal Junction and just gets better the closer we get.....

hey that's when i start feeling like that, cuz you can see the river valley from vidal sometimes, and you're like 'YES!' haha

MB2 - we leave from essentially the same locale. Typically takes us 4 hours without a stop. I start to feel the river flowing in my veins as soon as I'm off the 14 and crossing toward Victorville.

4 hour drive for me. I pick up around Amboy... 2 hours 45 minutes in (I've made this run too many times...I have it down to minutes now). Nice little jaunt to the Mountain Springs onramp at the 40 and the descent into Needles.

After I get over the shock at the gas pump, I get excited I'm going boating
