My 20 might be a lite layup The deck is thin If i stand on the deck it flexes alot. Im about 160#. I dont stand on the deck at all anymore I will slide on my belly if I have to be on the deck. It also has 11 gal fuel cells.

That's a very manly thing to do.
    BTW, while you're down there....

What motor do you have and what kind of numbers do you see with your setup? If you have a 2.5 it must run well into the 100's with a light layup.

Probably not a light layup then. I had an STV that bare hull weighed about 800lbs with a 200hp 2.4 and ran in the mid 90's and that was also with a 28p et at 7000rpm. Infact it is up by you a yellow and white STV with black like lightning bolts.

I calculate 14% slip, if your prop pitch is to spec. Seems like a lot.
It weirds me out a little to think I can go substantially faster in a 750 lb Glastron with a 2.5. You should be able to kick the ass of my bagged out 260.
Have you tried playing with different wheels and setups?

Unless he has a 2:1 lower, you are right. Having several customers with Stokers and having done some bottom tuning on a couple, I have noticed that with the factory bottom the 20sst tends to have a hump at around 80-85 where is doesn't quite have enough hydraulic lift the dry off the sponsons, and isn't quite packing enough air yet to hold up the motor. This glitch is compounded by those who like to put a bunch of setback on that hull, and further worsened by people who don't know how to properly use the tunnel tabs. I'll bet with some minor changes in motor height, setback, tab adjustment and weight distribution he could get her over the bubble and run just as fast as his old STV with the same basic combo.
