What is the best way to get more spring tension for your pedals, I would post the pics on here but cannot figure that one out yet, but anyway I have posted the pics of my set up on the Image-center in the V-Drive section maybe someone can tell me if this looks ok, I know I need to get more tension on my springs because when I push on my down pedal it does not spring back like I think it should I know this plate adjustment and Pedal theory 101 has brought up alot of experience I want to thank evryone for helping out a amature cann't wait to go to Needles

It looks like you don't have any pressure on the springs. We use a come-along strap to pull the springs forward to the desired tension.

On my peddle it takes a real heavy foot to push it down so if I let of the peedle it comes back with a lot of fource. If your peddle is hard to push down but comes back slowly it's probably binding somewhere. If it is really easy to push down then you need to add some tension to those springs by sliding that chrome bracket back a little more. On my boat my springs are stretched a bit when the plate is all the way up, also I have threaded eyes on my brackets so I can add more tension by cranking down on the eyes. One last thought is your bracket doesn't look that stout, it's possible that it might be flexing when you stand on the down peddle.
P.S. post some more pics of your boat in the v-drive section, from what I can see it looks pretty clean
