20-22 would be my guess.
24....25....26....27....? Where talking modern Vee hulls here, not Cat of coarse.

It could have been done in my 26 but I think it might have been just a little too much for her to handle.

???? in a 26' boat.....
I wouldn't hesitate to put the 625 in my 22'. I wouldn't have any worries about the boat being able to "handle it"
The right 18' boat could handle it. There is a 1975 18' Donzi with right around 1000 hp and an arneson that runs on rails. Runs 120+.
Here it is. http://www.arneson-industries.com/18'_donzi.htm
Although George Desmond is listed as the owner, he has sold the boat this past summer. The boat is a piece of art.
OK now, would you think a bravo 1 would hold up? Or maybe I should re-phrase... What drive would you recommend?
I'd put it in a 10' Schiada if I had the means, and some creativity to make a seat to sit on top of the motor and look good.

Not to be a smart ass but I thought Ilmor only made the 550hp, 625hp and 7-10(700hp). Merc does the 525. :yuk:

Correct. I sure he meant the 550.
