Switch the hoses. You want the line from the pump to "T" to the bottom of the risers and into the water pump ports and then the exit side from the thermostat to the outlet on the risers which would be the top.
So how would I plumb this in the right way? (Sorry it's so dark try brightening your screen up) Or do I just leave it?

So water would come in from lake to the bottom of exhaust and then it comes out exhaust to to the block where water pump would normally be and cools the block or warms it and then it goes out T-stat housing to top of exhaust to exit out of boat correct?

What is the purpose of having it this way? Is there something that this guy is trying to cover up as far as engine runs to hot if it done different then this or maybe exhaust gaskets leak water? I just want it to be hooked up the way it suppose to be. It runs REALLY cool in summer time like 100' or 120' the only time I've ever seen it like 150-160 is after I shut it off for 15-20 min then go to start and it starts like it's hot. I've heard that runnin to cool makes engines not last as long.
jets put out way more water then you will ever need. You only want 15 psi max.
The reason to go to the lower manafold 1st is twofold.
1 to preheat the water going in the block to help stop thermal shock
2 to help cool the exhasut.
I have no gauges on this. It just comes in from the lake and goes directly into motor out to bottom of exhaust and back to lake.
no valve? You really should put one on, or you could spend the coin and get a bypass kit. You really don't need a guage since you can use your temp as a guild.
