Is there such a thing as a 14v Battery??? If not how do you generate 14 volts, JL audio amp. I was reading through the guide and it gives settings for 14v. Who makes um and where do get one???

The amp is probably rated at 14V, but 12V is just fine.

Another trick for the amp maunacturer's output specs. Most amps will put out more power at a higher voltage (to a certain extent, unless using unregulated power supplies). Most cars these days put out 14.5 volts, minimum 14 volts. It takes 1.5 volts above the battery the nominal battery voltage to charge it. Most nominal battery voltage is 12.6 (2.1 volts per cell) thus 14 volts minumum would be need to charge the battery.

JL Amps have heavily regulated power supplies due to the fact that they use current limmiting. They pretty much make the same power from 12V to 14V.
