So ,Can anyone tell me who the manufacturer of this miniture hydro was??
It was built by one of Californias top Hot Boat builders.
There was a limited number of them built.
My brother and I each have one.
It measures 41" long and 17" across the sponsons.Has anyone else seen one before??
Now all I need is a little big block chevy.

New style of wake board?
Be a nice place to put a nitro chainsaw engine and some radio's in it and go fast, good looking hull!
Nice looking hull Riptide. I'm not going to have a guess at the manufacturer but it looks like a gem.
Funny you should bring this up as I have spent the last few days looking for replica engines for just this purpose. I have a 41" flatbottom and a 36" picklefork hydro along the same lines as your boat. If you hear of anything suitable I am interested, I thought a remote mounted electric motor with a dummy big block would be a sight!
Back in the late 1960's Jamie Brendel used to build those at his dad's boat shop. His dad of course being the late Irv Brendel of Hondo Boats. My uncle used to work there and built me a flatbottom the same size and gave it to me as a Xmas gift when I was a kid. I still have it ........so many years later.
About 10 years ago, I had Mike Oaks do some v-drive work for me. He was building one,
but it was larger and ran chainsaw motor in it. He was in W. Covina I believe. May still have a phone #. It was a really cool hydro- a true miniature replica. Good luck with the mini project Looks Good.
There is a company that builds a miniture Dodge Vipers with working miniture V-10 motors. The little motor actually puts out something like 7hp. I lost the link to the website, I'll try to find it though. It's something you have to see to believe. The V-10 can sit in the palm of your hand. You can buy the whole car or just the engine and a working diplay stand. They'll match the model to your Viper, right down to the vin number. I think the whole thing costs more than a PT Cruiser! Anyway, That V-10 would look bitchen in a boat like that.
As for the full sized counterpart to that hull, check this out:

Wow, This stirred up some conversation.
Yes it is a Sanger.
Dont know just how many there are kicking around.
I like the idea of the chainsaw motor or a weed whacker.
Would love to find a V-drive.
Saw in HotRod magazine ,years ago, a story about a minture V-8 that a guy was building.
Thanks for the imput.
