I got this boat from my old boss a few months ago and have been learking here to learn as much as I can. http://www.***boat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79176
It's an '89 Hardin Marine Carribean. From what I understand it's basically a Tahiti with a diffrent name.
I wished I could have seen the auction or the interior before Tim tossed it out. Right now it has plain Jane bass boat seats in it just to get it in the water. Personally I think jetboat interiors need to look like they were designed by people on acid.

The jet seems to have all kinds of goodies on it and the engine fires up and runds good. It shakes like holy hell at low rpm's and I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be that bad.
When I get a chance i'm going to disconnect the jet from it and make sure it's the engine and not the pump.
I found a couple of pdf's online about how to rebuild the jet, so I might go through it before spring and blueprint everything. I'd like to do that just so I know exactly what I'm dealing with before I put it back in the water this season.
I was thinking about getting some beehive springs and roller rockers too. The engine is supposed to be a recent rebuild that Tim bought used. The only changes to it were a "bigger cam"(whatever that means) and the intake. Somewhere on here i read that a single plane intake was better for jetboats abut I'm not sure if I read why....
Anyway before I write a book, how does my boat look? (other than the crappy interior that will be changed soon)
Oh yeah, I need to check it for hook sometime soon too.
I don't think I did too bad for $5000. ESP since I haven't paid him for it yet!

It does. Those pics were taken the day I got it home. The gel's been rubbed out and I got the corrosion off the valve covers, fixed the place diverter's motor and repaired all the flaky wiring connections and switches.
The main thing I have left it to inspect the pump, fix the engine vibration and build some new interior.

Nice looking haul. I saw two of those in the trader awhile back with blown BB. They both claimed 90's.
    Good luck with the boat.
