Whats up folks?..new guy here from the inland..lol...Im Jerrod from Owensboro Kentucky. Im currently in the process of restoring a 76 Glastron CVX-20 and retroing a 72 Jolly Roger. Both jet boats, the Carlson is getting a fresh 455 Olds, and the Jolly Roger is getting a redone 350 Olds. Both have Berkley pumps 1 is a 12JC and 1 is a 12JE...I was wondering how rare or common either 1 of these boats are as I cant find a whole lot of info on the Jolly Roger...I have pics of both.
    The Jolly....

Welcome. The Carlson's are pretty comon, I still see one on occasion. Windshield, dunno, I'll see what I can find. I have to replace the cracked on on my Taylor as well, one of these years soon. Never heard of a Jolly Rogers before now, must not be a midwest boat.
Best of luck to ya. There are mods to do to keep Olds' alive at 5,000 RPM levels, make sure you do them. LOTS of info here.

I also have a jolly roger well kinda. Mine is in pieces too. I have not seen many of them. I am guessing that they are more popular in the nortwest since they were made in washington state. Jolly rodger boats is still in business http://www.jollyrogerboats.com/ So far I have not found much info on the forums about them, only a couple of pictures. I have only heard of one other one that was a runner. I would really like to know how they handle the chop, they have a bit deeper V than most jets so I would think they would be better in the waves.

I was told that the deep V hurts their performance as a jet boat above 45 mph. So i dunno. I really wana restore it somewhat. The pump is still good and I have a solid 350 Olds waiting for a home. It originally had a Berkley PackAJet 455....i really love the lines of the boat

Glad to see a asomewhat local guy here. and welcome.
1st Search MSN groups for Glastron/Carlson. I know there is a big group there with alot of info.
2nd the 455's are getting rare so snag all of them you can. (There are still a few of us running the 455 and we are allways looking for spares)
Yea i ended up finding alot of pics on that group site. Theyre the reason im putting a winshield on the Carlson.
