Anyone ever convert a stern drive to a vdrive? My buddy has a 21 tahiti with an alpha drive.I have access to a v drive set up. He installed a BBC this year and does'nt think the drive is going to last that long. A remanned drive is 5000. So he was thinking how hard can it be to convert?

I dont think a Tahiti is a strong or good enough hull to be converted to a v-drive.
I would find a better hull than convert.

Tahiti built good boats and bad boats. Question is how is this one built. Full stringers is a start, but how well are they bonded, what type of materials were used etc...
