Maybe a dumb question, but is it possible to prep chrome and powder coat it?
Thanks
Won't stick for shit.
Sandblast first.

So if I sandblast the chrome it will work? I used some metal etching chemical along time ago on steel marine hulls for paint adheasion. Nothing like that will work on chrome?
Works good to.

The headers burn off a few inches up depending on how much water you run but the chromed parts did well.
Looks good, thanks.
chrome is not a type of metal, it's a finish. Simply bead blast, or sandblast off the finish and you can powdercoat away
How about aluminum diamondplate can you powdercoat it?? Thinking about doing my engine compartment but dont want to polish.

no problem... any metal can be powdercoated that the heat from the oven will not damage, and I'm pretty sure any metal can withstand 420 degrees. they just have to prep it and paint it.
I have even heard of a new process they even coat plastic now.
