Just bought a 1981 Cougar Jet Boat with a Ford 460, looking to buy some performance parts for it.
Can anyone point a rookie in the right direction?
    Thanks in advance

Ditto. You'll find everything you need there. Lot's of knowedgable peeps on that site. Another person to contact would be Paul (user name Lakes Only here, and at 460ford) at High Flow Dynamics www.highflowdynamics.com. He's building an engine for me right now. He really know's his BBF's !!!

The one that I had just looked like someone cut the top off a tunnel ram manifold and welded a flat plate on it that the blower bolted too.

Used ford blower parts are ridiculously hard to find. I've been lookin for a used manifold and such for some time now for my 460 so I don't have to pay $700 for a new one. I've called every used race parts place and looked everywhere on the internet, can't find any.
Trust me save some money and get a new one. I just got a used 6-71 and now I'm dieing for used ford blower stuff. I'm going to the Big 5 at Qualacomm stadium this weekend to look for used Ford blower stuff. Good luck!

Thanks for the picture! Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.
I wish I could mount my engine backwards, I dont think this is possible with a Jet is it?
That boat in the Pic has a very similiar paint scheme as mine, do you have any more pics?
    Thanks!
