Wow, WHY? burningm
Knock Knock......

Hud:
Wow, WHY? burningm Not really sure. Oil pump didn't look that bad. #6 was one of the bearings I didn't check when I had it apart. Hard to say what happened. I'm going to finish the teardown tomorrow and pull the crank out of another motor that I know is good. Then off to the machine shop.
Rats,
They always seem to run the best right before something lets go. & your boat was running strong at CFW.
Hope you get it back together without to much hassle.
Morg.
Damn that sucks, hope it's not too serious!.. frown

Morg. It was running real good. The changes made a big difference. Just wish I would have paid more attention to the bottom end. Guess it will be taken care of now.
Mike, what a drag cry . I know what a money pit a boat can be without all the BIG PROBLEMS. You'll have her back together in time to make some more speed passes before to long
Well the joke is:
Crank is being welded and reground
8 pistons- wrist pins galled
oil pump
bearings and the misc parts
1 rod
all parts should be here by weds and maybe running by saturday.
cry cry
Mike, What happen to the spare 440 you have?
058:
Mike, What happen to the spare 440 you have? Its just not the same going from an hp motor to a stock wagon motor.
I do have it but its newer and is externally balanced so the flywheel I have won't work. Plus on a leak down 1 cyl has quite a bit. It runs and doesn't miss but don't want to pull the motor again this year.
