I just read this thing comes out in March. I don't know if I can wait that long.

Yes it is.
then what is the difference?
Not much. All they do is upgrade the map discs, and the iPod and XM interfaces. The D2 is just as good in my oppinion and you wont see that many changes. Go for the better deal.
From what I've read the Ipod functions on the D3 will be a lot more user friendly than the current Avic offerings. We'll see.
