Hi everyone, i would be interested to know what you thought of our boat, it is a 1963 Rayson Craft. if anyone can help with additional information other than what i list i would appreciate it.
the engine is a ford HP390 with low-riser dual-carb manifold, i believe everything on the boat is stock or original.
Here are some links to see the boat.

the only thing we have done is rebuild the carbs, replace head gaskets, and the heads cuz they were cracked. HP 64 was stamped on the block under the manifold.
    Thanks for looking

    Scallywag,
Here's a couple of photos I've collected of Rayson Crafts that are like yours:

Note the shape of the windshield on the top photo
Both have the raised instrument pod
The photo below has the engine cover option-

I've always heard these designs referred to as the G-hull. The bottom was used with several different deck designs, from wood to day cruiser to cuddy. Your boat is a very clean appearing example. I'm glad you posted the photos. I'll put them in my archive.

Do you live in Utah? There are a few of us around with V-drives. I know of a couple of raysons around here like yours, one of them has been in my family since new in 1965, its an 18 footer with the green metal flake,428fe in it. there is a 20 footer with a 406 tripower in it, it is red metal flake. You really should check out the classic v-drive club, I have been a member for a few years now, its a great resource for outtings, boats and parts.

........Skallywag........are you sure the motor is a 390?............ HP on the block means it is a high performance block......... by '64 it could have been a 427................There are additional identifying numbers on the block but difficult to read with the exhaust manifolds on............
