Good deal! So your gonna drive it out to OP6 right?
Took it to the lake today for a test ride. Got a few bugs to work out (Oil line blew off, water pressure too high, etc...) but nothing serious. It's weird though, I expected it to idle smoother, but it lopes like a blower motor....? The thing look like a friggin space ship with all the hoses and pipes running everywhere. I have some pics, but not digital. I will post them soon....

you know i dont have a problem with the turbos and the motor ideling funky. its pretty smooth. it has that blower motor feeling. but the sound is no were close. dont you just love it when those turbos spool up?
eric
congrats DUCKY,
watched a twin turbo bbc in a camero make a 183mph pass last week. said they were having soft ware problems or woudda been 200 sounded really wierd, but impressive !

ERIC I think it's the lack of sound. I watched a turbo'ed hydro run over 200mph and it was so quite. I'm used to hearing big thunder when a 200+mph pass is made. That deal just kinda wisteled a bit.
Eric, yours don't make a kinda funny sound when the boost is up and the wastegates are flowing?

Bluff.
Doesn't look like any turbo lag problem here.
They set the record in Blown gas hydro at 200 mph and then switched to BAH.
I believe they ran over 215 mph at Red Bluff.

The Fair Warning boat has their stuff together.
I have seen it at RedBluff and it always runs strong.
But you get dizzy looking at the engine with all the plumbing and pipes.
And the turbos they are running are HUGE.
NO, No turbo lag in that boat.
Ducky,
What kind of turbo motor do you have?Boost?HP?Internal goods?
I just put it together, and didn't give it more than 1/4 throttle yesterday, so I don't know how the spooling up feels just yet. It's a .030 over 4 bolt 454 Chevy, with inverted dome floating pin pistons. Still has cast crank, and small bolt rods, and tiny port heads, but I am not looking for lots of boost or rpm, so it will be fine. The turbo system is an old PFM deal with Rayjay 301 E10's and a single Holley 950 carb. I have been told that the system is cabable of 20 pounds of boost and 800 hp, but I am shooting for 7psi, and 600hp. We'll see......
