Anyone have any actual experience with Dyer's ? Great prices, spoke with them on the phone and seemed good to deal with. Just curious b/4 I take the plunge. Thanks !!!

I had a Dyers that I bought new in the late 80s.
It was a nice blower but should be considered a street blower.
I never could get it to put out more than 7 or 8#.

Same here, Gary is a great guy with good service, but I got an 8-71 on a 496 spinning 14% over and can only get 7lbs outta it.

That's my target, 8 lbs. But what would cuse that ? Poor quality assembly, materials ? Or ???

Like Unchained said, these are street blowers, not intended to make race level boost. Cast rotors non stripped, clearances probably relaxed, etc... I'm happy with mine for now, but it may be up for sale at the end of this season.

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered up my 8-71 from Don Hampton today. A little friendly advice helped my out.

I walked in and they gave me great advice on a blower they don't even service, looked at it assured me it was OK. Advice was free that I needed a bigger blower that they did not try to sell me and I bought one used. Great guys.... I will go back, I will use their services one day.
