I may have an opportunity to trade one of my Harleys for a Malibu Corvette boat. What do you guys think of these?

Bike is worth $16 - 18k, boat is '97 excellent cond. approx 200 hrs
if the harley is Pink and says gay pride , then its a fair trade !
Gay Pride.......WOW....
MY.02 the boat is worth 21 allday long as long as the gel, graphics interior are good to go!! the real question is what do you want the boat that you get to do. That boat is a pure ski boat. If its super clean rip the stickers off the back and you will be much better off.
good luck

Those Malibu 'Vette boats were quite the dealio in '97. Limited production, but small. Most tourny boats were going open bow right about then - for family and friends to join in the fun. 17" wheels on a trailer (Vette wheels) were UNHEARD of during that time. It had a 383 Callaway EFI motor, though. I can't remember if it was aluminum heads or not. 400hp from what I recall.

That's a great deal-- these boats are between 20-30K depending on conditions. The 1997 edition was the real deal, they made some more a few years later, the value of those was much less. I had the opportunity in 1997 to ride in one of 5 Poly Green ones built - so bad ass. I believe the Callaway motor did have aluminum heads - super trick, unbelievable for 10 years old. They were $50K when built, I looked for one a few years ago for my first boat and I couldn't find a nice one under $30K at that time. Go get it and then post some pics. Harleys are a dime a dozen IMO - only 125 of these were EVER built.

Thanks for the input. Any idea on top speed on this boat? Malibu advertised at 65. Callaway motor is called "supernatural" wtf does that mean? Not blown is it? I contacted the seller today, will be working out a deal.

It would probably be hard pressed to do 65. I would say 55. I was in a Malibu with 325hp and it would do 45-46 tops.
Yes, SuperNatural is naturally aspirated. (Not supercharged or turbocharged)
i wonder if it has pop up headlights -- i ps if i was a sheriff on the water i would write a ticket for no third brake light
