I am planning some trips for this summer and was wondering what some of you thought about the Avi hotel/Casino? The price is right. How is boating around there? How is the launch ramp? Can it get crowded? Can you leave boat in water overnight? How is parking lot and security? Any info would help. Thanks Johnny

Great place. Its nice because you can walk from the beach to your room. And if the Avi beach is too crowded. You can head down to tripple wide, circle beach, or many other sandy beaches alond dike rd to hang out at just a few miles down river from the Avi.
and you cannot leave your in boat the water over night..no slips. Ive never launched there, but I heard the launch ramp line isnt that bad.
oh and if you can... book the 4th of July there. They have an Awesome firework show

jonny, we have stay at the Avi, but never launch from there. the water is ruff there. you need to know the area first, there are shallow area you might mess up your prop. go to Mohave or go lauch at Jacks Landing in Needles.

Love the AVI. The rooms are not the nicest but whenever I'm there we don't spend much time in the room. Nice beach, awsome pool, fireworks stand, good casino, launch ramp is great. Just wait until around 1:00 for the water level to come up. Have Fun

I agree with what everyone above said. We used to go all the time to get those cheap rooms and a place on the beach.
The water is just too cold and we like Havasu better. If your afraid of the shallows, you can launch 20 min. down the road at Topock and run the boat safely down river to Havasu.

Avi ... inside itÂ’s a shit hole. Outside...nice beach and easy launch ramp. Don't forget the fireworks.

It was kind of dirty when we stayed there a few years ago. They screwed up our reservation and only had a smoking room available. They tried to make it right and hook us up in a suite, but the room had bugs. Then the wife went down to the truck to get something early in the evening and caught some of the locals trying to steal our rig with 2 sea-doos hooked to it. She yelled at them and they ran, after we reported the incident the security sat on the fender the rest of our stay. Other than that it was great
