Does an Orgasm Cure Menstrual Cramps? Any other Remedies?

We were sitting at the famlily dinner table sometime back when my young-at-the-time daughter complained of cramps.
My crazy old mom blurted the "best cure is a good orgasm".
Made everyone drop their forks,, funny as hell though.
Wife is complaining of them now,, should I try the orgasm remedy on her?
