Where is the LCD going? What is it going to be used for?
Am I The Only One Confused. I Read All Kinds Of Reviews And I Can't Narrow Down A Tv. I Am Looking At Spending About 1600 On A 42 - 46flat Panel. The More I Research The More Confused I Get.
Where is the LCD going? What is it going to be used for?
In the living room, and it will be used for porn and a random movie here and there.
Oh wait thats the one I want in my room. The living room one will be used for watching TV. I don't play video games anymore, however If I feel the need to get drunk with buddies and pull out the xbox and throw in some halo for battle, I don't want it to look like shit either.
NO...NO here we go again!!!
I was looking at the sharp aquos 42" but it has less resolution and seems the 46" is a better tv, but I also read that lcd's are better for smaller sizes and plasma for bigger sizes. Looking at samsungs, panasonics...pretty much anything is an option at this point.

If you have a lot of windows in the living room, go with an LCD, and LCD would also be better if you are going to play Xbox on it. I would recommend sitting at least 6' away from the LCD though as they tend to have slower response times than plasma.
I would look at the Sharp Aquos, best LCD's for the price.
I have a Panasonic 50in plasma and love it.Porn in HD is the best.

At 42 and 46 inches you are not going to see the difference between 1080p and 720p/768p so don't go crazy trying to find something with more resolution.
I have a small house, and only have one main window in the room. I haven't played x-box in about 2 years, so I'm not worried about that. I just want it for movies, and tv. I don't watch tv a lot, but my tv is done, so its time for a new one.
Better contrast with a plasma, if your going bigger then a 42 they are just now starting to make larger lcd's
i have both and like the panasonic plasma the best but it is the hd model
