Here is the latest 19 out of the mold. It is all carbon fiber/resin infused/foam cored. It came in at 278lbs complete with stringers and bulkheads. What is really different is the fact that is not a flexi flyer. This boat is solid. Should be intersting to see what it will do this year at the drags.

Very nice! What's the average weight of a standard layup?

A normal river lay up would be about 700 lbs. A normal hand laid fibergalss race lay up can get as low as 300 to 350 lbs, but would be very flimsy and weak. An infused fiberglass race lay up would be 450 lbs, but stiff and strong. We wanted the boat to be under 350 and stiff. We are more than happy with the results. Mike Miller will be racing this boat this year at the drags.

    John,
Thanks for providing all of us with some specifics.
I agree with RD. A 26 or 27 Shadow with that look would be exceptional.
