phebus you can tow us smaller boats while we drink and have a good time And I would be okay with smaller boats.
Dan
No need to tow, just hop on, and the beer will flow.

If you back your boat it, you should be fine.
We were there yesterday (weather sucked btw) and they were backfilling the area between the wall and the sidewalk which they buried with the spoils. Suposedly they will open 1/2 of it by the weekend. The bad news is the lake is at 447.3 which is close to summer time levels and yes there is little sand in front of the wall, if you own a cat type hull be very AWARE of this because as it is you may very well strike the wall before the sponsons hit the sand, its that close, at least it looks like it to me.
Also I noticed something else, the wall appears to be about 3 feet tall so any elderly, pregnant, or even slightly handicapped will be hard pressed to get over it and NO PROVISIONS were made for access. Maybe the city has something else in mind but for now its NOT VERY BOATER FRIENDLY in my humble opinion!!
BE VERY AWARE WHEN PULLING IN ON A CAT TYPE HULL, have a good one!! NSF
