I like the Rz2, but the seating and price on the 22i took the cake from the family.
    A really teriffic seating arrangment.
The R z2 is a really awesome wake board boat though.
    Thanks for the info.

If you're boat goes fast enough to ski and wakeboard, there is no advantage to the big engine. I wouldn't bother because those boats will never be fast.

Our last Tige had the 330 merc and really struggled to pull up two wakeboarders.
Not looking for speed, no one buying a towboat should consider that, need power vs MPG vs bragging rites.

Being a bigger guy I have felt the difference in power while being picked up skiing. There is nothing worse than being drown until the boat finally gets enough speed to pull you out of the water. If it were me I would go big.

    That is strange, Ross.
Pulling off an extended pylon, with a 4-blade OJ prop, 30 gallons of fuel and 4 adult folks aboard, I can pull 2 boarders out no problem. GPS @ 4800 is 46ish..., but it ain't a race boat. Might have been your prop. I want to try one of the new ACME 3-blade CNC props, if I can scrape up the $ his summer...

I tell ya FBT, I moved to the ACME 13 X 12.5 machined and the difference was fantastic.
Best boat money I ever spent.
Even bought a spare with the cool carrying case and Jesus nut tool/puller.
Less vibration, and it had noticable more grip on the water.
The 22i is a heavy, fat boat with a colossal good ride of a tow boat and I think the give back is a bit of a slow hole shot.
Can't have it all in a boat perhaps.
Gotta give a little here, to gain a little there.
I think you're right,, we'll consider different pitches if it's an issue again.
