I have a loose bow eye. The nuts are frozen so tightening them is impossable. Gonna have to replace it. Sucks......
We didnt have a loose bow eye thread this week so I thought I should start one.

The one on my boat is 30 years old and is in really good shape. Now that you've posted this it will probably break at a vrey inconvenient time.

I made an extension out of 1/2 inch threaded rod and used H/D couplers to connect them. I then got a carriage bolt and ground it down to fit a 1/2 inch sized swivel. I was able to get to the nuts but unfortunatly they are frozen so I will be replacing the bow eye. It took a litle McGyvering but it works.
I made a broken thread Anyways cs have you had to replace yours, and if so how did you do it? I need to replace mine(same style boat).

Be careful, don't want to bust a nut
Loose Bow eye or Brown eye?
