Not to bust your bubble but Parker Strip is well known for law enforcement giving tickets for open headers and rough water this time of year. I would tow down to Big River below the damn. Cruise up to the cove or run down to shell beach 25min boat ride.

You can hang out at the lower sand bar by the Casino. The water should be shitty most of the day on the weekends. Unless you have a big boat. Weekdays are nice, once the crowds and the big boats go home.

well that sucks maybe we will launch early go check everything out and then leave it at the dock and hang out at the casino during the day then run in the evening again. is the water normally calming down around sundown?

I think you can cross over the river to the Ca. side and drop it in at the Wheeler Inn. if not you can go south to Big River not sure how far the drive to Big River is from blue water.

Jetovator-a nice place if you are into camping would be McIntyre Park, or so I've heard. Never actually been, but planning a few trips there this summer.

Parker is great. If ya got a low freeboard boat, stand by. Weekends can get kind of rough.
If you stay at the Blue Water, you can tow down to the other side of the dam on the CA side and launch there, about twenty minutes or so. Lower river is way nice and mello.
    Big River, Lost Lake etc.
    Good luck, have fun.
