Why would you not?
Everytime we go to the river or lake, I always remove the scoop before towing out there. I have to say its my least favorite time of the trip when taking the scoop off the weekend is pretty much done. My question is: How many of you tow your boat with a fiberglass scoop on?
Why would you not?
A friend of mine leaves his on while towing. I don't see a problem with it.
Why would you not?
Stop doing your least favorite thing! Pat
just put a cover over the inlet so the airflow doesn't force gas into the cylinders that have the intake valves open.
Why would you take the scoop off? You worried about it blowing off or something, while towing?
I have been towing with it off. From my past experience the road has beat the hell out of the tray and dzus fasteners. Why any different than being on the water??? I dunno?
go to a fabric store and get some green foam(very dense) and cut to the shape of the scoop opening.the thickness is about 5'',thencut some plexiglass 1/2 bigger than the opening and glue the foam to the plastic.this can be removed on and of very easy.and leave your scoop on.also i installed ia 1'' peace of alum.to the bottom of the scoop and to some were on the intake to hold the scoop down all the time.trailering or boating.
Put a cover over it. My Mommy made mine for me with a tie down.
I don't have a fiber glass scoop, but I rotate my spark arestor to face the back of the boat while towing.
