Recent Supreme Court ruling say's that consulate services must be provided without delay to detain non-citizens under the Vienna something treaty on court procedures. Treaties become Supreme law of the land under the Constitution so the Supreme Court said failing to provide this right is just as important as Miranda and right to an attorney for a foreign national. Forgot the name of the case; a Mexican drug dealer appealed his drug dealing conviction in Oregon claiming they failed to put him in contact with the Mexican consulate........
