Yes the small 1/8th" hole is good with a black zip tie wrap. Gotta let it breath and it will keep the grease off your wheels and tires.

Never had a problem falling off. I make sure there good a burped before any road trip. A couple shots of grease never hurts to help creat a vacume to hold them on.

I've sliced a little cut with a razor knife in the past. Lets air pressure out but not grease and keeps water out too.

I use the center caps that come with the wheels. Using a 3/4" hole saw, drill a hole in the center of the cap, then put a 3/4" plastic plug(Home Depot, Lowes) in it. Been doing that for years and never had a problem.
I'll take a pic tomorrow A.M. and post it.

"Innie" Cap is held with Lip.
Some bearing buddie caps are "outties", some are "innies".
    Our Speedster has the Innies.

    HAHA!!
The zip ties DO work great, but what works even better are hose clamps, thats what I have on my trailer. Cost about $5 and you wont have to look back
..oh shucks! I gave out the secret.lol

I like that idea Bilge!! I take it you have Buddies and the cap covers them? I have the open center caps that would be used for a front axle of a 4x4 to get to the locking hubs. I hate them. There not round anymore and look like crap. Your idea is MUCH cleaner looking by far.
