My brother has a 1988 boat with bravo drive, and the bolts/nuts that hold
the gimble housing to the transom came loose a little and leaks water, does anyone know what kind of seal or how many bolts to tighten so that we get them all tight and recheck form leaks, we know that is where the leak is because we can lift drive while in water and leak is worse. thanks for any help

8 nuts that takes a 5/8 socket. Hard to get to all of them. The problem is that the wood in the transom is going to be saturated with water from getting in through the stud holes. There is a round rubber seal in the gimbal housing that should seal when you tighten it back up.
