My numbers were way down this weekend. Best I could get was 76 at 4750 with my labbed 28, 3 people 85 gallons. (it got nicked up the last time I was out.) Put my labbed 26 on and was able to run 75, 5000, with 5 people about 70 gallons, a slight headwind and 5 people. Still pretty good but no where near 80. No doubt temp was a factor.

I hear that. What I think....uh, ya....you need is a Whipple setup...... My Ultra with the same was bullet proof. Ever consider it?
Nope, completly happy as is Insurance no problemo and reliable. If I keep it long enough my cuz can make about 600hp during the rebuild and still keep the reliability, and very stealth.
John, yep those speeds go down with summer heat dont they. Who cares, your boat runs exceptionally well and everybodies numbers go down with the heat just as yours did, unless you have something wrong with the motor?? I hope not!! Bobby

I did send out two requests for insurance for a new ride.... I should have those numbers tomorrow. That WILL have an effect on what I end up buying. $3000 a year....doable.... $5000....NEVER EVER.....which ever one is longer.

I run the maxximus 5 blade 26 pitch. I am seeing exactly 90 on the GPS. I'm gunna test the 5 blade cleaver pitches 28 and 29. Hopefully I will see 93-94.

A Whippled 525 and you saw 81???? You need a different prop. I suggest a 5 blade Maximus...labbed...possibly a 30 if your already turning a 28 to redline. Im seeing 80 right on the dot with my 625 and a Bravo 1. WAY too much slippage. I throw a rooster tail thats crazy.....

Have you tried running a 1" spacer? You will find the boat to plane out way better and possibly run faster. Your X may be a bit too high in turn limiting how much you can trim the drive to pack some air.
