In bad air it is not uncommon to loose horsepower.
This weekend i noticed my max rpms were down to 4600. I should be turning 4800-4900 rpms. I wonder if i could loose that many rpm due to it being very hot yesterday. I recently changed my plugs and plug wires but i ran it since then and did not notice the loss.

I just dont remember ever loosing that much rpms. Usually within 1000 rpms but i lost 2500. Im just hoping it was the air and not a problem.
Maybe ur fuel filters are a little pluged up?????
or a fuel restriction of some type.. a kinked fuel line
