Hiccups are caused because your diaphram is in a spasm. Anything that streches your diaphram out should work.

Pour one small pack of sugar on your tongue (about a teaspoon),swallow. Do it without taking a breath.Works every time and is quick and easy. The nine sips followed by a gulp works most of the time also.
Put a single sock on either foot (it really doesn't matter just pick one). Stand on a slick surface like wood or tile flooring. Keeping your socked foot in a stationary position use your barefoot to propel yourself into circles of rage and discomfort. Steer clear of outside corners on walls and cabinets unless you're already wearing a helmet.
wash cloth over the glass of water has always worked for me. Just make sure the wife didn't just spray Pledge on it and wiped the dining room table off with it.

Had a hiccup for two days steady just recently . Tried all the remedies mentioned in this thread , none worked ! Had a brainstorm to drink Coca cola to create
burps . Couldn't beleive it , after a few tries it worked . Just thought to tell you in case you guys will have a marathon experience one day :idea:
