Motor Info and Specs

This may sound dumb. I just bought a '00 Donzi 22zx with a Mercruser 7.4. I decided I wanted to go through and change the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, install K&N flame arresstor and other items. I realized I dont know what motor this is. Is it a 7.4 MPI or 454 Mag. The serial number of the motor is OL565577 and it has a Bravo I mounted to it. Thanks for your help.

That was the serial # for your Bravo drive, not the motor. Get that and we can look it up through MercNet.

If it says 7.4 it is not the Mag. That serial number is actrually the transom assembly number. In Mercnet it will still give us the info on the engine and drive also. You have a 7.4 MPI (not a Mag) originally registered in Aug of 1999.
